just a thought..im wondering why alot of dr's think the ssri's are some sort of cure all wonder drugs...i was on doxepin...which worked wonderfully for me for years.i wished i had stayed on it..i slipped back into a bad depression along with panic disorder and i asked to be put back on the doxepin but the doc refused..he put me on zoloft instead....and i feel like crap all the time..tremors//nausea...totally exhausted...and ive been on it almost five weeks..i had none of this with the doxepin...is it just a money racket or what?the zolfot script was 150 dollars..compared to the doxepin which was much much less expensive...maybe im just venting but i just dont understand why these ssri's with all the terrible side effects , not to mention lawsuits and whatnot..are being prescribed so much

i stopped taking doxepin cold turkey and i never had any withdrawal..except..and this is weird ..my arms itched for a few days...and i go back to the docs in about three weeks then hes going to start weaning me off the zoloft and hopefully will put me back on the doxepin

Thats a good idea..imo Zoloft killed me. I was so damn tired during the day, yet Insomnia at night...horrible, just horrible! I quit on the 6th day.

That is amazing about tricylic withdrawl.... that would kill me if I stopped any SSRI cold turkey even after 3 weeks.

I agree. I was on Stelazine 20 years ago and it worked great. These doctors all want to give you Zoloft,Lexapro, Celexa, Wellbutrin, etc. and say give them a chance. Yeah right. I tried them all and they all suck. Plus you have to pay a 100 dollars plus for these. Where as the older meds are under 20 bucks.
