I am suffering from some sort of tongue ailment and the two doctors I've seen are stumped. My tongue soreness has been off and on for 3 months. I've been treated for thrush 3 times but the soreness returns. I've been tested for diabetes, taken off Zoloft and nothing seems to help. I am hypothyroid but otherwise healthy. Has anyone ever had this symptom? I know I don't have HIV and I'm suffering. It doesn't sound like a big deal, but when I get up in the mornings my tongue feels like someone's put a rubber band around it, numb yet painful, swollen and white-ish. Can anyone shed some light? I've searched the internet until I'm frustrated.
:) i have been on zoloft for alittle over a year now and have gotten the sore tongue off and on as a side effect. has it been less than a month since you stopped taking the zoloft because it can stay in your system for 4-6 weeks i heard. how i help it is take acidophilus suppliments when it begins. i dont take it regularly because it causes diarrhea for me. but either acidophilus or if you like yogurt eat that but make sure it has the live culture. maybe that will help restore your bodies natural bacteria.
