Hey congrats on your decision to quit :) There is a smoking cessation board on here that will be able to help--its designed just for people who have and are trying to quit smoking. I quit cold turkey and decided to embrace the withdrawls. It was hard, but now after over a year smoke free it wasn't so bad and WELL WORTH IT. Some people prefer to use the patch, gum or Zyban (wellbutrin) to help with the withdrawls. The first week or two was the hardest. Pick a time to quit when stress levels will be lower if possible. Don't be scared of the withdrawls because there is nothing to be scared of. Quitting smoking won't kill you, in fact, be scared to continue smoking ;) Good luck and check the other board on here.
