If your son wants to gain muscle mass, have him eat alittle more protein (no expensive supplements necessary)and continue weight training. The ultimate way to increase muscle mass is through weight training, not by eating 10000 calories a day! I would also recommend that you tell your son he still has lots of time to grow, no need to rush it along.
