: : I am a 17 year old female and have had pars planitis since I was 10. I have a serious case and recieve periodic steroid injections in both eyes. I would love to hear from others with the disease, especially younger patients. Thanks!

: Hi:

: I'm writing for my son who is 10 years old. He was diagnosed with pars planitis when he was eight years old. He also has an extreme case. He had a vitrectomy in July of 99 in his left eye and had another one in his right eye this february. Just recently, he is again seeing floaters in his left eye. This is a very difficult disease. We see one of the best doctors in the world (boston, MA) His name is Dr. Steven Foster. Have they ever found a underlying disease with your pars planitis. We are going back to a rheumatologist next week to make sure he doesn't have jra, lyme disease, etc. even though everything came out negative a few years ago. Well I hope things get better for you. The disease can settle down for a while. This is what we are hoping for our son. E-mail me anytime.

Hi. I am a 22 year old female and have been dealing with PP for two years. It has just been in the past two months that I have began to get the full scope of what PP is. They think that I got mine from a parasite. I put off everything odd to that. The doctors were real tight liped about what I had and didn't offer much info. I have started to research this on my own and am suprised at what I have found out. But I hope to hear from you.
