Thanks very much for the reply, glad your recovery is going well. my podiatrist said that they rarely remove more than one on each foot at a time, for fear of losing circulation to the toe and causing untold probs.....were you told about this? I'd rather have the two done at once whilst the foot is sliced open, and get it over with! Also, i'm having only a local rather than general anaesthetic, same as you? Suddenly i'm scared i'm seeing a cowboy......

: I just had THREE removed from my right foot one week ago. Recovery is going as well as can be expected. The doc thinks it looks good so far. I definitely would not make New Year's Eve plans, given your scheduled surgery date. I am in the surgical shoe until 12/15, which is 17 days post-surgery and will have the stitches removed then. My advice is keep the foot elevated and stay off of it. Ice helps a lot also. Not to mention pain medications. :-) I am surprised that your doc is only removing one of two known, but he must know best. Good luck.

: : I am researching into the surgery required to remove neuromas on the feet, as I am due to undertake an operation on the 14th December. I have four neuromas, two on each foot, and the planned op is to remove the most painful one on the left foot. I have read lots of scare stories, and am really concerned at making the decision whether or not to have this surgery. Has anybody had this operation, and can give me advice please? [In addition, will I be able to make New Years celebration plans, or will i still be laid up?!]
