: : I am a 33 year old female. I have been having problems with my right foot for about 3 years now. It started breaking out as in athletes feet, but now covers half of the top of my foot. It gets to the point of bleeding. I am also loosing my big toe nail. The dermatologist said it is Exema, and gave me a tube of cream. After about a week, it totally cleared up. But then, it came right back worse than ever. I still use the creams prescribed, and take Atarax for the itching twice a day, but it is such an eye sore. People always want to know what is wrong with my foot. The doctor doesn't believe me, but I feel pain inside of my foot. I've had X-rays, and nothing showed up, but my foot hurts badly enough to bring tears to my eyes at times. The itching is so bad, that it makes me feel nervous and aggitated. I just want to find something to releve this pain. If anyone has had this problem, please contact me. I was told to do the following...Use non-soap cleaner, wear only white cotton socks, wear breathable shoes, and go barefooted as much as possible. I am doing all of these things to no avail. Thank you for your time. Nita Kaye

: I had similiar and went to afoot specialist who sent me for physio which did not help. He said it was heredity and that I would have it forver. My Gran wore slippers all the time.
: When I was 37 I went for a deep tissue massage and the therapist used to start with my feet. AND boy did it hurt! I went into a past life incident { I did not believe in that hocus pocus at the time } But after the therapist took me thru my feet were bettter. Went up 2 shoe sizes {very expensive exercise as I have a shoe fetish.] No pain since! I died in early greek times running for my life across corral.

Had a fungal problem similar to what you have but didn't have it for very long. Used emu oil on it several times a day and it went away in about two weeks. Started having the same symptoms behind my ear after getting scratched by my puppy when we were wrestling. The itching can drive one nuts and the draining is disgusting. Once again, the oil, covering the area several times a day took care of it before it got to be a major problem.
