: : Every night I have very bad pain in my back or chest
: : It's impossable to tell where I'm really hurting.
: : Sometimes I think I have a sliped disk but at other times I think its in my chest.
: : Doctors can't seem to help.
: : Has anyone ever had this problem?
: : What could it be.
: : Thanks for any advice

: Hi Roger,
: It sounds like Neuritis of the nerves in your back that run from your back to your sterum. The nerves are between your ribs.Sometimes the pain is in your back -then side -then front or just a spot on/in your rib cage. I Think it's caused by a pinched nerve in your spine-back.I have found it is caused by the way I sit, lay, bend or just move.
: If it's not too bad you can take a muscle-relaxer and lay on the floor or any flat surface and exercise by moving your arm from your side to the floor above your head. You could use 5 pound weights-- may help.A pretty good muscle relaxer is a homeopathic remedy-- Magnesia Phos.30X taken every 20 to 30 min's.A stronger one can be obtained from your Doctor if you need it.I have had what you describe for about 25 years.
: I hopes this helps. Oh, bending over a keyboard doesn't help.----Harry
:I think I may have the same problem as you do Harry. I fell on a counter about 10yrs ago, and
about 5yrs ago it has been brothering me.after i had a cold and had a coughing spell and thought i pull a muscle this problem started. I fell
on my left side on my rib cage. and have had pain
on the left side and rib or in the middle of the
rib, I'm not sure it seem to move around, but I
do have pain in my sterum. And if i press on my
sterum it hurt all around my rib cage. I'm having
problem with my nerves or pain in the nerves also
like in the shoulder and neck and arm on my left
side also. think it may be cause from the rest of
my problem. Sometimes it will go away for a coupe
of weeks and then it come back and takes about 3 to 4 weeks before it goes away again. If anyone
out there has had this problem or have any info
about this, please help with info. Judy
