I have been having horrible headaches for the past two weeks. My BP is normally 90/60 and when I
went to the doctor when this started happening it was 130/90. He was not alarmed about it at
all and prescribed me an antibiotic for a "sinus infection", even though I told him I had no
congestion or drainage. I took it for 10 days like he told me to but am still having headaches.
Today I went to an ENT to see if I really have a sinus problem. My BP today was 110/90. He
did a thorough exam and said I didn't have a sinus problem, but that there was a slight
fluid buildup behind my ears which indicates sodium retention which will also cause high BP. He
prescribed a diuretic and a low-sodium diet for 30 days then I'm to be re-checked.
Has anyone else had similar symptoms?
