: : Hi Janey

: : This might sound slack but I've got no idea what my bp level is - to be honest I need this thing like a hole in the head. I have a son going through heart problems at the moment (cause of high blood pressure? - no I don't believe so I had symptoms before this problem with my son came up) so I'm a bit distracted. I also am hypoglycemic (I wonder whether it's related somehow?).

: : Thanks to everyone for their comments. Sarah

: You probably should have your bp checked. I bought a self-monitoring cuff at Walmart for around $16 that works fine - you will just need someone to show you how to do it, but its really easy. You and I also have something else in common. I'm dealing with a health problem with my son also. He's 9 and was recently diagnosed with Type I diabetes. It has been stressful to say the least, but I also don't think that is the only thing effecting my bp. What symptoms are you having?

Hi Janey

Symptoms before and after last checkup with doctor were - headaches there was one occasion of blurred vision during and after headache. I have had attacks of tensing of the torso- (does that make sense?) and sounds weird but on the odd occasion red ears or face - a really good look! Hay, my boy is also 9 - maybe we should take a lottery ticket? - Jokes aside it's nice to talk to another mum in similar circumstances. Sarah
