Hypothyroidism usually does not cause high blood presssure. But endocrine problems can cause all kinds of symptoms and they are not always the same. Call your endocrinologist and see what he says.
They will probbably tell you no, but if you ahve not had tests for awhile why not get checked up?

: hi, all...i have a question about low systolic blood pressure. today i was involved in some strenuous activity and had to take a break because i began to feel like GARBAGE. i was slightly dehydrated (it was very warm) and upon some preliminary examination, one of my coworkers discovered my blood pressure was 100/80 and my pulse was 130 (normally my blood pressure is 120/80, resting pulse of 68-80). i was immediately put on low flow O2 and got some fluids...after an approximately 15-minute long break, i recovered to bp 130/90 with a pulse rate of 110. i am a 31-year-old female, good health, hypothyroid, overweight. i've had instances in the past very sporadically of unusual blood pressure patterns, but i'm wondering if this particular incident today may have been connected to the hypothyroidism. any thoughts?
