: The my blood pressure has always been borderline to moderate. The highest has been 150/100 and I was stressed at the time. The doctor prescribed atenol, 50mg. . I have been taking this for about 3 years now. I have been in for checkups every year and my blood pressure is about 130-80 in the doctor's office. I have been taking my pressure at home lately and it seems too low 90/65. Is that too low? My pulse runs from 57 to 62. I feel fine and am not dizzy or anything. I am wondering if I really have high blood pressure? My mother has high blood pressure.

Normal bp is 120/80. If you get to low of bp, it can be as dangerous as high bp. You need to contact your doctor and tell him/her about your concerns. When you are stressed, your bp will get higher. You were borderline when you were stressed. Ther best thing to do is contact your doctor and see what they say.
