I've been monitoring my BP for a month now. Three important things my doctor has passed on to me that I wanted to share are:
1) Don't take your BP 2x/row on the same arm. It takes 15 minutes for your veins to decompress, so if you took it sooner, the BP would be lower.
2) If you use a manual machine, let the air out SLOWLY.
3) BP is always higher in the am, take it several times a day. Even people with dianosed HBP have variations, so take it the same times each day.
