: My husband and I have been trying since Sept. to get pregnant, I missed Feb. took a blood test and came up negative. It's March and still nothing. Should I be worried?? I was on the pill almost 8 years, should I expect to have difficulties getting pregnant? Should I got to the Dr. or wait it out? I need some advice- anyone help??

My husband and I are going through the same situation. I am a RN, so this is really eating me up. Keep in mind that your body may still be regulating itself after taking the pill for so long. It may take 6 months to 1 year to expect pregnancy. In the meantime see your doctor for a check up, be patient and have fun practicing. TRUST ME, I waited a year and still have not gotten my period after stopping depo-provera and am undergoing treatment to stimulate ovulation/menstruation, BUT my doctor made me wait one year to be sure that the medicine is out of my system. But most reasonable doctors will not do this until you hit the one year mark after stopping birth control. So give it a little more time, but do not stress out about it because that can effect your cycle as well. GOOD LUCK
