: I awakened the other morning with this strange pain behind my ear on my skull. It was very sore, and then I began having dizzy spells that morning. My doctor thinks the dizzy spells might be a side effect from the perscription I'm on, but I've been on it for over a year without any dizziness. My feeling is that the dizziness is associated with the pain behind my ear...possibly some kind of inner ear infection. Is this pain common with the dizziness in an inner ear

infection. Please help!

Hi from Toronto. If bone behind ear paining look to muscles attached to it, SCM or splenius capitus muscle. are these muscles sore. is shoyulder muscles sore? Your prob. could very well be a musculoskelethal imbalance which is causing a reduction in blood flow via vertebral artery to the vestibular nuclei in brain stem. vertebral artery flow tests should jbe done if u see connection between head movwements and symptoms.

For immediate relief contact Caranial Academy in Indianapolis and find a cranial osteopath in your area. if cranial osteo not close check yellow pages for ordinary osteopath for starters.
