Well, acutally, the gluten free diet is easier once you adjust your attitude. I eat any meat, veggies, dairy products. I've discovered anything with white vinegar is bad news as well. Come to find out, its of course, distilled grain...it's in picante sauce, mustard, worcestershire sauce (wow, I spelled that right!). The thing I'm having the hardest time with is soy sauce. Every soy sauce I look at has wheat it in! All seasoning packages you buy at the store has wheat as well. When I eat bread, I get so sick. It's worse with breakfast cereal. I can eat Corn Pops though. The only restaurant I can't find a thing to eat in is Italian, unless I just eat salad with no dressing. Something has been giving me D lately, but I can't figure out what it is...maybe banana chips, but I'm not sure why. Anyway, feeling much better. I'll have my colonoscopy next Thursday and have that out of the way. The dr. agreed with me about the Celiac and offered to do the biopsy but he stated that since the gluten free diet was working and that I had been on the diet for 7 weeks now, it would probably be best not to do the biopsy. It would be inconclusive and since there isn't a cure other than a change in eating habits, what's the point? Anyway, thanks for asking! Good to hear from you!
