: Soy adversely affects the thyroid and hormones.
: also see http://www.mercola.com/2000/aug/20/soy_dangers.htm
: Why not eat lean meats/poultry, fish, and drink milk for proteins?
: I add milk protein to milk for added protein.
: if you are lactose intolerant, you can get the enymes needed to digest milk at health food stores.
: Be careful to research beore taking any advice.

Lots of people are vegetarians and don't eat meat, fish or milk. Soy is great for women, especially during menopause. I take thyroid medication and Estradiol which is a soybased hormone. I just take them at different times. If you take thyroid medication, just don't have soy products for 4 - 6 hours. I take my Estradiol before bed and Synthroid when I wake up. The soy attaches to the thyroid hormone and prevents absorbtion.
