: : : : I'm guessing that most of us are all a little disappointed after our colonoscopy when they say it was 'clean as a whistle', cause we keep hoping they'll find something 'easy' to treat. If you think of all those awful things they could have found tho, we really need to be thankful for what we have. I'm glad it went well for you. Keep well, Ann S.

: : : : p.s.When I had mine, I was talking to the nurses, just before they put me under, and they said there were a couple of other preps they could use, besides the one where you have to drink all that stuff. That is the one of choice, but the others are still reliable. Unfortunately, I don't remember the names, but I don't intend to ever need to find out.

: : : No!!! I"m happy they didn't find anything! After seeing what my mother and brother in law went through, believe me, I"m tickled pink they didn't find anything...if I sounded disappointed, it's probably because I was still under the influence of the anesthesia. My husband said I still wasn't making sense last night (but I thought I was normally that way!) And I'm also glad it was so easy and not at all like a lower GI. I think they ought to outlaw those things!

: : Wait a minute....I thought a colonoscopy was a lower GI procedure!? Explain please!

: When I refer to lower GI I mean the barium enema or GI series. They don't knock you out for that and it's awful!

That doesn't sound like fun! I am glad to hear they put you out for the colonoscopy!
