Im a runner training for a marathon. I was scoped & had a colonoscopy to rule out anything serious before they diagnosed me with Irritable Bowel Syndrome. I don't have diarrea or constipation, just cramps, bloating & nausea. Every time I would do a long run, I would get so, so sick afterwards. The last time I just layed on the floor for 3 hours - feeling like I had to throw up and use the bathroom - but neither! I was put on Dicyclomine - but Im still afraid to try a run. Do you think this medicine will help or should I just give up long distance running???
