Hi
I have been taking Modulon 200mg trimebutine for about 6 months now. It seems to be the only medication that would work on me. Dicetel worked for 2 weeks then stopped and nothing else had any effect on me.
I take 2 pills, three time a day (I am only supposed to take 1 pill three times a day but two work better). I find that I am always falling asleep (even while I am talking to people!!) but it is better than I was before.
If anyone would like to talk about Modulon (I hear that a 300mg trimebutine pill had just been released) feel free to email me.
Jane

: : Hi everyone,

: : My doctor has just prescribed Modulon. I havent'seen it mentioned here before and was wondering if anyone has tried it?? what are the side effects? I had been on Dicetel for almost 2 years. It worked great for about a year and then completely stopped working.

: : I live in canada and it seems that some of the other meds mentioned are not available here. Is Modulon available in the US?(I guess I'm assuming that you all are in the states!)

: : Thanks

: Hi Kellia! I am from Canada too! From my web surfing, I have learned that Modulon is only available in Canada right now. Some side effects include tiredness, drowsiness, dry mouth, and constipation. I have been taking it for a couple of weeks and found that I cannot take it three times a day (feels like I am drunk), so I am taking it twice a day (before breakfast and dinner). It is too early to tell what it is doing (besides making me extremely tired) or if it is working. I will give it a few more weeks. Let me know what you think of Modulon!
