: : : Has anyone heard of IBS starting after Gallbladder removal? I never had any problems with abdominal discomfort until I had mine removed, & the docs think it's IBS.... : : Hello, : : It is funny that you say that about your doctor thinking you have Ibs. I was diagnosed with it yesterday. I had my gallbladder out in December and have since that time had bowel problems. No control over when you need to have a bowel movement, frequent either diarahea or loose stool, pain in stomach. Doctor said it can be linked to stress. My sister-in-law has suffered from these type of symptoms for - years? now. She has lost a huge amount of weight and obviously her quality of life is diminished. She has been told it may be the result of a severed Vagas nerve? We would be very grateful for any help.
