Well, I don't know if I can help you but I
will tell you a little bit about my own situation. Sometimes I feel better after talking to someone, sometimes I don't.
I have gone to counseling off and on over the last 13 yrs. I went on four different occaisions to four different therapists. All were short-term. I am not sure if you are
familiar with professional counseling. A lot of the time in these sessions, you have to dig up your past. Sometimes, it is painful. You start thinking about things that you hadn't thought about in years and you start dealing with feelings that you thought were dead and buried. In my opinion, I think that they are better off that way. When you start reliving the events, it's as if they are happening all over again. Where I had gone four different times for different reasons, I had to start all over again. Be careful when choosing a
therapist if you decide to do that.
If you have a special person in your life that you can trust and talk to, you should do that
over going to counseling.

: I don't know.... for me when I'm depressed usually I don't feel like talking to people.... but if I DO talk to somebody I usually do feel better afterwards. But maybe your depression is more severe than the depressions I sometimes have, I don't know... well I hope on this board you'll find some answers! Kathrin
