: I am in my late 40's and have recently been told by my Dr. that he believes that I have MS. If this is the case it would certainly answer a lot of question as to why my health has beem so poorly . Over the past 12 yr or more it has gone from bas to worse but due to other major health problems I think things were over
: looked . I have chronic pain syndrome as I have had three major failed back sugeries with damage to my nerve in my left leg and for this I wear a brace. I have had numerous bouts where I have been in bed with almost paralyzed limbs , my family needs to move them in order for me to get them going, I have vision like ghosting ,
: poor visionat times that seems to improve somewhat, weakness in my limbs, spasmsin my legs and hands, facial pains, drooling which I am not sure is part of the this, tipsy, my bablance is very poor, bladder and bowel problems , I get up usually 5-6 times a night, have many urinary track infections, head tremor, I didn't know
: it and tell me, afer a bath or shower I feel awful drained and numb like,my words get very mixed up and my memory is absolutely awful, I can't at times remeber even such things like the Lords Prayer and I say it
: usually twice a day and sometimes more, and the list goes on and on. I hate having to go to DR. and believe me I have had my fair share and I would rather not go but if there is treatment fot it then I will go for help.I just am worried that if they can't find anything in an MRI what do they do from there? I went through my own He-- because when I went for a
: myelogram and nothing showed I had an awful time trying to find out where the problem was and it took a long tlong time , many tests and many doctors.I also have one other symptom that I would like to know if it is significant, at times I have a feeling like there is something running down my leg and there is nothing. It is so weird. If you could write me back i would appreciate
: it, thanks.

Your symptoms are very consistent with MS. Have you been examined by a neurolgist yet? With your list of symptoms it would seem you have a considerable amount of nerve disease and it should be clear on an MRI but of course this is not always true. I was dx 15 yrs. ago and have had all the symptoms you've mentioned including the sensation of something running down the leg. Have other possible causes been tested and ruled out for your symptoms? This is the method that is ultiimately used in diagnosing MS - a process of elimination of other causes - since there is no defining test for MS. You can email me if you want and ask ay questions.
