: On March 9th I took a pregnancy test that came out positive, my last period was in January (I don't know the exact date because I never mark it!) so I estimate that I am 7 to 8 weeks pregnant. I made an appointment with the OB-GYN which is at the end of the month. My concerns are in the sharp pains I get whenever I get up fast or cough (I just am recovering from a horrible cold) Is this normal? This past Friday night I spotted, very little but enough to worry myself and husband. I plan on calling the Dr. tomorrow (Monday) but was wondering if anyone has experienced these problems and can give me insight.
: Thank you, Linda

Hi Linda,

I found out at the beginning of March that I was pregnant. I'm only about 6 1/2 wks. This past Friday night, I also spotted, but not much. I called my dr., and she said not to worry unless it was bright red. Saturday morning, it was red. I went to the dr., and they did an ultrasound, which was fine. I saw the babys heart beat. He told me to only watch out for signs like I am having a regular period. I have spotted everyday, all day since, but I am still also worried. They told me to not have sex, and not to do anything strenious. I do not have my 1st initial appt. until this Friday, so I've still got a few days to find anything else out. I hope this helps a little, although I know it doesn't ease your mind.
