Hi, I am a fairly recently diagnosed patient with RLS. My 14 year old son also has it. Our sleep doctor recommend Mirapex for us as a newly available medicine when other medicines had side effects we did not like. Our doctor said that Mirapex has only been approved by the US since late in 1998. However, he indicated that it has been used extensively in Europe. We find is helps a lot, although is not perfect, at that we both sleep much better on a regular basis, and feel refreshed most of the time. Good Luck, Barb

: :Hi Ann T. I asked my Dr. about Mirapex and he was not familiar with it. Is it something new? If it works like you say, I'd give just about anything to try it. My legs bother me so bad at night, I can't even go to sleep. My legs are constantly in motion, and I can't get relief enough to fall asleep. I did get a prescriptin for NEURONTIN and it has helped some, but not like getting a full good nights sleep. I feel so tired and sleepy every day that I don't feel like doing anything. I go to the grocery store and feel like I have been beat by the time I get home. I believe I would feel like a new person if I could sleep at night. I will mention MIRAPEX to another Dr. I see and maybe he has heard of it. I know the same thing that works for you may not work for me, but I'll never know if I don't try it. I have tried so many different things, you would think SOMETHING would help. Maybe MIRAPEX is what will work for me.

: Thanks for your post. If it helps, I'll let you know.

: Lil
