MF,
Your post made me think of something. Does your husbadn kick a lot in his sleep? Or does he shake his leg, like tap his foot almost, when he is sitting doing nothing?
I have GAD and then recnetly have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. The Anxiety came first though. One of he many doctors I went to see asked me about my sleep habits and what I do with my legs. I am on Paxil and was constantly waking up at night unable to sleep.
He is sending me next month for a sleep study. I actually have to spend the night there and let strangers evaluate my sleep habits. They suspect Restless leg Syndrome, it is just like what it sounds like. Which goes hand in hand with my DMS and GAD. It is a very common symptom in both disorders/syndromes.
It is something he might want to talk to his doctor about next time he goes. The doc told me they usually prescribe Klonipin. Klomopin is in the benzodiazepines (valium, Librium) family/ I would tlk to his doctor about this possibility.
Lizzy
