: : : would like to talk with women whose husbands have had strokes. what is the recovery like for you? has your husband recovered but changed at the same time.please email or leave message.

: hi francis- my fiance who is 31 yaears old had a stroke on july 3rd and then another on july 6th.i am dealing (under the circamstances). But i'm having a hard time excepting the fact that he may not be a "normal" person. i really dont know what to expect, he is in nero rehab at the moment, and he participates some of the time. But the other part of the time he is very fustrated, confused?, he cannot speak, so we dont know how he is feeling.but there is alot of anger. i really would like to talk to someone who is going through the same things.our wedding date was tomarrow.please respond.

BLESS YOUR HEART! Have the dr. given you any advice? They really don't know answers, but it is good to hear them say something, it is so scary and frustrating in the beginning. He will be frustrated and angry and scared because he has no idea what this is doing to his life! There are so many emotions and feelings that you both will experience. Why did he have the strokes?-do they know? Is there paralysis also? My husband had the aphasia and very little other complications. He is 'normal' but for 2-1/2 years there were little things about his personality that were abnormal for him. write me at [email protected] if you want to discuss more.
