: Advice appreciated!! Have been on Levothroid for 7 years. Started out at dosage 75mcg now on 137mcg (how high is 137mcg anyway? Is that in the average range?). Had blood test done 2 weeks ago, (follow up on new dosage), and tests were in the normal range. HOWEVER, for months and months I have been lethargic, sleep whenever I can, lack of concentration, cold skin, dry hair, no energy, brain fog as someone mentioned!! ..and with 2 kids under 4 ..thats not easy. I am 27. If my blood work and doctor say it is ok it still possible my thyroid is not? Are there other tests that should be done? What would be the next step? Im calling the doctor tomorrow to talk to her, and what questions should I ask?

I was just looking up Wilson's Syndrome when I saw this. It is a low body temperature affected by your T4 thyroid not converting into the T3 thyroid horomone. Instead of telling you all about it here you can look it up under Low Body Temperature or Wilson's Syndrome. Don't confuse it with Wislon's Disease ... that about scared the life out of me. I have had Wilson's Syndrome & when I tried a medicaton called Cytomel. It really helped me a lot and I didn't need to stay on it once my own body's T4 started converting to T3. A lot of things can cause this to come on. I hope that you at least find the time look into Wilson's Syndrome because I went to a LOT of different doctors before I found a doctor that knew about this. All the other doctors told me body temperature vary but I still knew something just wasn't right. Every one saw the difference in me in just a short while after I started the med. & I felt good for the first time in a long time. Guess you have to be persistent. Best of luck & hope you find the answer.
